Continuing along the "symbolic" design element for all Ash Tree jewelry, the latest creation now available for purchase and customization in my shop is the
Chinese Symbol Charm Necklace line. I've been wanting to create something like this for a while: as a calligrapher, I really admire the intricate symbols that make up the Chinese language. Written Chinese
comprises characters used to represent the Chinese language, and are
often composed of parts that may represent physical objects, abstract
notions, or pronunciation.
I took several words and have made them available to my customers online: now, you can order a necklace with the Chinese characters for LOVE, LONG LIFE, GOOD LUCK, GOOD-HEARTED, AND FRIENDSHIP. Elegant and simple, each charm is about 17x11mm in size, and though they are listed on a silver plate chain, but I bet they would look just as great on a black rolled-leather necklace as well.
