This calligraphy job was for a small wedding on simple cream colored envelopes with black ink. The envelopes needed
calligraphy for the outer envelope, containing the invitation, and
calligraphy for the return address on the back. As you can see, I was very happy with the results! If you are a DIY bride, it's always tough getting all that return address info on the back flap without it looking smushed: so be careful!
The bride also opted for a personal design and favorite of mine - incorporating dots in the zip code. I've always done a spread-out zip code underneath the town and state, because I think that it looks better and really ties the whole address together. Adding the dot accents gives it a little something extra - without going too over the top! You can also read about the place cards for this job here.
