In late 2011, Ash Tree Designs began talks with the She's the First Charity on a unique handmade pendant design that would be sold to help the charity continue to fund girls' education in the developing world. The result was a vibrant "tie-dye" cupcake, "baked" with a rich magenta and teal colored clay, and the topping of "vanilla frosting" was speckled with real Swarovski crystal rhinestones in bright colors.

Out of each affordable $20 cupcake necklace sold, $15 will go directly to the She's the First organization on behalf of Ash Tree Designs. These cupcake pendants represent not only a symbol of young girls' education, but are a fabulous statement piece that is 100% handmade.

She’s the First is a not-for-profit that sponsors girls’ education in the developing world, helping them be the first in their families to graduate. In the process, She’s the First fosters leadership and self-awareness in young Americans, by inspiring them to lead creative fundraisers and correspond with sponsored students.

Their efforts shape a rising generation of well-educated global leaders, future philanthropists, and cross-cultural communicators.
